AWANA - Parent Frequently Asked Questions

1. Will my kids be safe?

Of course!  Currently our AWANA is held online, but even when we are in person we have a high quality registration system that ensures we have a list of all the children, their ages, their emergency contacts, who is allowed to pick them up, and any allergies they may have.  See below to get your kids registered in our Kids Check program.  Our leaders have all done background checks and we have at least two leaders in each room for the sake of accountability.  Your kids are in good hands at Capital!

2. Which group should my child or children be in?

We have a group for children of all ages!  We do Puggles, Cubbies, Sparks, T&T, & Trek groups currently at Capital.  For more information on each group, the times they meet, and even to join via Zoom/Google click below:

3. How much does AWANA cost?

Once a clubber has completed his/her entrance booklet, we ask that the annual registration fee, handbook and uniform costs be paid. Due to children already having these items in some cases, payments will fluctuate.  Therefore we ask that you register before making payment.  Also, if finances are a concern, please reach out to our commander.  Payment options and a scholarship form are available.

Once you hear from us regarding your final payment, you can make your payment using our secure payment system Secure Give.

4.  Do you do any special events for AWANA?

We offer a quarterly AWANA store following church on Sunday mornings.  Most years we have all sorts of fun events (Grand Prix, Theme Nights, Global Outreach, etc.) at AWANA, but unfortunately this year our AWANA program has been limited due to COVID.  Check out our calendar below to see if any events are upcoming:
